back story: bought an L66 western boy scout knife and the leather handle needs to be replaced. I have it all stripped down I just need to remove the pommel.
Problem: while reading about removal it seemed my only option was to drill out the pins no problem so I started using my drill press but each time I keep slipping off the pin and sheering straight through the pommel to the tangs (yes tangs plural) anyway I decided to stop now before I mess anything else up. Any advice on what to do or who to send it to will be greatly appreciated

First welcome to bladeforums, second this is a family friendly part of the forum and profanity is not allowed.

Lastly shop talk might be more appropriate for help with your issue. Good luck.

Look through this part of the forum, see if you can find someone offering that specific detail type service.
I can imagine your frustration, I know that when I do stuff like that It's time to let someone else run with the ball.
