Source for affordable handlapping plates?

Does anyone have a source for affordable hand-lapping plates? Something with milled grooves for using abrasive slurry, but affordable enough so I could nab one for a few different grits?

The best price I have seen is from Lee Valley tools. A 14 lb cast irom plate for 85 bucks.
