ANyone have a good place to buy replacement sealed bearings? I had one of the sealed bearings on my Wilton's tracking wheel start making noise, and I can't seem to find a good place to buy replacements --all I seem to find are whole replacement tracking wheels, and that's just dumb.

They're 6200ZC3 bearings, which have a hub diameter of 10mm, an outer diameter of 30mm, and they're 9mm wide.

...any ideas, and are there better quality bearings available?

Thanks, guys!

Matt any industrial supply or automotive supply should be able to get you bearings they all have cross reference charts for different brands.

Matt,
Motion Industries was a great suggestion. The ARE a bearing distributor and have access to all of the highest quality manufacturers, such as Timken, Torrington, Fafnir, FAG, SKF and INA. I would insist on one of those manufacturers. I am partial to Timken, Torrington and Fafnir, since I work for them. The Fafnir part number is 200PPC3. I'm not sure who the manufacturer of the bearing is that you're replacing, so I'm not sure what the Z stands for. For Fafnir, the 200 gets you the size of 10mm x 30mm x 9mm. The PP is two rubber lips seals. The C3 is the clearance in the bearing. I'm thinking that the other manufacturer uses a Z for the seals, but I am not totally sure about that. It's just a guess on the Z.

Also, look for Applied Industrial Technologies, Kaman Industrial Technologies, and Bearing Distributors Inc. Those are all great bearing distributors. As far as which distributor has the largest inventories of the quality manufacturers in stock they can be placed in the following order from largest to smallest.

Applied Industrial Technologies
Motion Industries
Kaman Industrial Technologies
Bearing Distributors Inc.

Those are the best distributors in your area of the country.

Ickie, I remember examining a failed bearing from a mining operation in the Andes Mtns .It failed because of debris. We asked for grease sample and other details. We finally got a grease sample and when we opened the jar we saw a huge number of big flies in the grease !!! That was the debris ! I wonder why the grease attracted the flies .

Have you ever been around a barbeque when they were making greasy burgers? ;)
