Does anyone know a source for this steel in 3/32 and 1/8" strip? It is a Carpenter steel said to be a pumped up version of 440C or a stainless version of D2. A very simply comparison I think and perhaps not true. Don't know but want to try it. Thanks

scott and the crew in TX are great to deal with last time i ordered i was told they had one more 3/32 sheet 18x36 inch left but was expection to get more in soon. im gettign close to needed tht sheet so i hope they got tht shipment

Butch, their website is a bit confusing. They talk about a "full sheet" they say 20/24" x 36". Other times, it is listed as 12 x 36. You say they had an 18" one. So is a full sheet 12, 18, 20 or 24? It also appears to differ between the Carpenter stuff and the Crucible stuff and whether or not it has had the decarb ground off and the steel ataakne down to the .093 thickness. . , Also what do you like about XHP say compared to S35Vn or CPM154 when it comes to kitchen knives?
