i remember reading a while ago (like two or three years maybe) that some guy had a couple hundred altoids tins that he didn't want, and was sending them to whoever wanted them for the cost of postage...

but i can't find it using the search, and i figure he probably ran out by now anyways...

so is there a good source for buying a pile of empty altoids tins for kits and things? i'm thinking like around 20 tins or maybe more...

thanks!

Search "BCB" or "Bestglide," Simon. They sell new tobbacco tins (empty) and may also have something like you're looking for. I can find a link when I get home tonight. I bought a tin of Altoids and suffered through them, pushed them off on others, and finally emptied the tin,.... then my wife decided she liked the tin and I can never tell her "no." So, I don't have one.

dutch, thanks for those links, i think i might order from the second one you posted.

thanks for the other suggestions too guys...

bruche, thanks but i'm looking for the sqaurish ones...i'm looking to make a pile of those tin sharpeners for handing out and stuff and i don't think the round shape would work very well.

Under the FAQs tab, it tells you how to get some samples for FREE!!!

I got two metal bottles to use for fuel.

Marry a nice young lady who has a penchant for mints in Altoids tins. Then over the course of your marrige you can sympathize with her for being so forgetful and losing all her tins when she has to buy a new can every other month. Suddenly, you have a wonderful wife and lifetime supply of tins, well hidden. (Worked for me, but don't let this be the only reason to marry the gal.:))

Siguy I have a few hanging around let me check as I have them spread all around the house. I think I have probably around 10-15 I can part with if I find them all...if so I'll pm you.
