Source for Koa wood?

Can anyone recommend a source for buying SMALL AMOUNTS of curly koa? (i.e. places that don't have a minimum order of $50, and sell pieces in configurations other than board-size).

Woodcraft doesn't carry it, and the exotic hardwood sites I know of have minimum order policies.

thanks

I'm interested too. How do you feel about a few of us pooling to make up a minimum order?

Rob!

send me your money. I sharpen the tools for almost every Koa furniture maker on this rock...and have access to some of the BEST STUFF on the planet. Let me know what sizes you want. I would imagine i could sell slabs 4.5"x1.75"x 3/4-1" for $5. and if you want i could bandsaw them in half...for 3/8 to 1/2" thick. actually 5" x 2" would be better, or if you want big pieces let me know. If you guys want to order plenty i will pay the shipping.

Tom,

You also have an E-Mail from me on the Koa wood. Forgot to say that I would need the wood sawed in half.

I can personally vouch for Tom's koa supply quality. It is top-notch stuff! I have used it on a few knives and I love it. Which reminds me, Tom, I owe you some money from the last time we traded materials and you paid more shipping than you expected...please send your address so I can compensate you!
