My father had some short wrenches I really liked.

The local Canadian tire wrenches aren't bad, but they are way too long.
They also sell stubbies, but they are too short

I'm looking for a 9/16" combination that's 6" long OAL
Snap on has one, they are $40.05 cd plus shipping and taxes, that's in the $60 range - for ONE wrench

But The Canadian website only lists sets.
The customer service will not put you in touch with a local truck.
Individual sales are their sales Territory

What length are the Craftsman and other store brand wrenches ?

I could cut down a long one, but it would be nicer if I could just get what I wanted.

Have you checked acklands? I know they have some westward wrenches that seem to be in between a normal and a stubby as far as length.

If you don't mind something used I could take a look through my bins of wrenches to see if I had a spare.

Acklands carries proto, which would is the first brand I look to for new tools.
