I cant find blue/silver G-10 anywhere. Ive tried pops, texas, trugrit, jantz and alpha. Anyone have a source? Alpha has a little black/blue G-10 but it's to thin for me. Thanks for any help.

Hmmm. they have black/red and black/blue. I might have to settle for black/blue. I dont know why this stuff is so hard to find, I see it on many a cusotm knife and it cant be hard to make g-10 in large quantities. Hell, if anything I bet the factory would hate to make small batches. Thanks Butcher, maybe you will just sell me some of that denim micarta instead. =P Anyone else have a source?

Gah, I hate working with CF. I know G-10 is a fiberglass product but the damn little black splinters of CF kill me. Still my buddy has his heart set on blue/silver or silver slabs. I might have to go that route if I cant find any. Thanks for the link, looks like a great CF place.

Thanks fitzo but they told me they could not help me with multicolor G-10 ><
I never thought it would be so hard to find. I think I'll emule R.J. or someone else who uses it often.

let me know too
if still having trouble i ll see about making a batch of dark/ light blue jeans mycarta up again as i ahve a few ppl that would like some handles done with it soon

You are looking for blue Texalium laminate.
I've seen and got cloth for making silver and gold, but have not been able to come up with a source of the blue, red, orange, or green Texalium cloth in the USA.
The aluminized colored Fiberglas is made by Hexcel in France, and is not readily available here.
Last piece of blue Texalium laminate I got was from knifekits, but they have no more.

What you are reffering to sound nice but this is what I'm am talking about

Every tim eI have seen it it was reffered to as G-10 along with the red/black green/black and blue/black of wich I know are all G-10. Sounds like texalium is cloth based while G-10 is glass based. I think i am looking for a G-10 twill, is that what texalium is?

Edit: all I can find about texalium is thousand of hardgoods made from it. Hockeysticks, skateboards, jetski body panels. I dont think this is the same stuff as Martin, Lambert and such guys are using. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

That's exactly what Texalium is, and what RJ used on that flipper is Texalium twill. It is S-10 glass with colored aluminum sprayed on. Wish i could metalize glass, but no can do at home...
Here's pics of some silver and gold.
After contouring the laminate, the colors change from a shiny metal surface to a white (clear glass exposed) and the metal layer showing through the glass from the rear of the exposed glass.
The reason the blue looks accentuated in the pic you showed, is because the interface between each two layers is a front and back colored surface together, making the color thicker there.
PM me. I have a piece I might let go...

Awsome. I was a bit comfused about twill G-10 and the bright colors in the blue/sivler G-10. Thanks for the info. Emule sent.

Edit: Just recieved word from R.J. Martin, seems all sources have dried up and he is out as well. I hope someone at some factory reads this lol (fat chance of that I'm guessing)

hows the stuff made? same as micarta? layers of fabric soaked in resin and pressed to exclude any air bubbles and compress the fabric? a google search brings up places selling the stuff as fabric...
