That's a good place to look but not to buy. I've easily heard more bad things about them than any other store.

Really? I've never heard anything bad about them. Then again, I haven't heard much about them period, only that they have a great selection and are an authorized dealer of all their brands. For example, they don't put the Breitling catalog selection up on the website-- just as Breitling says to do. They might have crappy CS or sumptin, though.
Another place to look for lower end watches is Amazon.
