So does anyone have any good sources for blade steel?
I'll need a piece of D2 1/4"x 2 1/4"x 18"
And 440c/CPM154 or CM154/ or another good stainless for a set of kitchen knives. 1/16"x 1 1/4" x 36" up to 1/8" would be fine too. That should get me started for now. I know i'll need a larger piece later on down the road for some of the bigger knives About 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" in 1/8" thickness.
