Does anyone know where G11 in the olive color can be ordered from? Tom Krein is preparing to make me a knife with G11 scales, but he was only able to find the sea green (light) color.

Kevin Wilkins shows knives with olive G11 handles on his website, but as he is in Germany I imagine he's using a European vendor.

Thanks in advance.

What I saw on Kevins site under materials was the yellow, green, which is uncommon, and the olive green, which looks like the G11 I get, although on the materials page, it appears darker than usual.
I think it is the lighting in the pic.
The knives I've seen him picture with the G11 look to be the same semi-translucent green available everywhere...
Might want to ask him...

So, the G11 you've gotten is closer to the olive green than the "pale green" as shown on Wilkins' materials page? I'm assuming that the G11 Tom was able to find is closer to the pale green. If you've seen stuff closer to the olive, could you advise on the source? Thanks.

McMaster Carr sells the jade green G11. I used it on a Spyderco Jess Horn ZDP189 rebuild not too long ago in my forum for a customer who provided the G11 to me. You can see the link to the knife I redid using what he sent me here, http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=484623
And here is the link to the site he told me he got it from.

I bead blasted it to finish it and really liked the end result.

Try this guy on e-bay ; canmanstan . He has all kinds of phenolics.
No, I don't know the guy. I found it in a search for handle materials last year. I just looked and saw that he's got G-11 listed now. Good luck.
