Sourcing for s90v

I'm having a knife made and i'm looking for a source for s90v or m390 in roughtly the following dimensions .155"x3"x12"... i can't find anywhere that has them in stock

Your help would be appreciated

Shortest you can buy it in is 38 inches long for $200. Being that thick and wide, the price isn't that bad. Hopefully your knife maker will only charge you for a portion of it. Although, selling other knives with those dimensions might be hard for him.

unfortunately Aldo doesn't carry s90v. I am not in a position to buy a large piece like that for the very reason you mentioned. He doesn't think he'll be able to find any market for the rest

I do have an option to use 3v for this project. What is the hardest you can run 3v? I need edge holding more than toughness (i'll be starting another thread on this question)

You can always call them and ask. They might be willing to sell you a smaller piece.

I bought some CPM S-90-V from Admiral back in 2004. Minimum length was 6'. The other dimensions were 3/16" X 3", if I remember correctly. The price was $200.00. Ask for the heat treat sheet.
