South Africa Waterbuck

Thanks for sharing all the info on the trip, the suppressors used and the great photos. I hope to make it to Africa for a hunting trip one day. I have never hunted much until the last few years but it is a large part of me now. I have enjoyed living vicariously through these pictures and Andy's thread. I've also been reading Larry Potterfields short stories on hunting and thoroughly enjoy his African stories. I need to buy some of Hemingway's books.

Africa is a special place, hard to describe. Once out in the bush it reminded me VERY much of places I hunt out here....right up until you see an Elephant or Warthog or something else "very African" and you come crashing back to earth !!

Glad you enjoyed your time there mate !!!

Thank You, I agree, a truly amazing place. Did not see any warthogs, but saw some of their holes.

We took this picture while looking for poachers. Freddie is about to become a Busse owner. Managed to get a Meaner Street for him, he doesn't know it yet though.

Thanks for sharing these pictures from your hunt sir. Congratulations on a beautiful trip and trophy.

Thanks Guys/Gals;

I asked him to come check out my knife collection as we went through them, he picked up the Busse and was complimenting me on it, and how much he really liked it. I told him, that it was his knife. He was extremely pleased. It will get daily use in South Africa. The sheath had the old style tek loc on it, so I pulled the one off my Axe Hammer sheath and fitted it, so he doesn't lose it. I'll get some in use pictures posted up when I get them.

Excellent thread tlt! Good to hear about Freddie becoming a new Busse owner and Congrat's on your successful trip and safe return home.

definitely very cool trip and photo's. great gesture hooking him up with a busse. that is what they are really made for. to be used!

Looks like a fun time. Thanks for sharing.

I agree that's a great gesture and sounds like we may be seeing Freddie on the forums. Very nice choice for a first Busse as well.
