I said thanks for the fix Lapedog, I wasn't claiming I'd had the time to do it though. The pic still doesn't work. Go back to the link and read the steps in the last two paragraphs of post #11 on that link I sent you.

I agree, if you want it to look pristine a trip back to CRKs is the only answer.Sorry I misunderstood.
Now that I see the picture I can say there is nothing I can think of that will remedy that rust problem short of refinishing the whole knife. Some other more knowledgable members may be able to help though.
Also are you sure it is rust or could it just be discolouration?
Beautiful Blade. It’s actually A Shadow I, not a Jereboam II. The Shadow’s were spearpoints while the Jereboams were clip points, or more a Bowie style. The Shadow I is among my favorite blades CRK ever made. I personally would leave it original. The coating on the old ones were more of a bluing while the newer coating is thicker like you see on some current blades. I added one of my old pics. Top-Bottom. Shadow I, Shadow I, Jereboam I, Tanto I. Just an awesome piece and Thanks for sharing.
