Ok this one has been challenging because of some specific requests regarding the rear spacer which is also a glass breaker/flat head screwdriver combo.

What I'm hoping to gain here is some input from the owner of this folder so we can discuss more on this spacer since I really have not done one like this before and am kind of moving forward in the dark a bit so to speak. So far so good but I recognize its not refined yet. Thats where you come in my friend. The flat head works and the grind is done but how were you wanting this shaped when you had it in mind? Any input, even if you print off one of these scans here and draw on it to scan or photo copy after showing what you hope for in final size and shape will help. I can get it via email if you don't have a way of loading the pic here.

Oh, and by the way. As seen here this little guy weighs in at 3.1 ounces and thats not refined or trimmed down yet with bevels or final shape for the barrel in the pivot, the stop or the spacer or a lock cut to spring the lock so hopefully the pocket clip added and the final trimming and cutting will cancel each other out or won't do much to that to change it and it will hover around that 3 ounce or just over weight when done. If you are wondering I used .110 thickness slabs on this in an effort to both keep it slim and reduce the weight for you because I know that was a concern. Looking at what we see here I don't expect weight to be a problem at all.
Thanks

Ok well this one is up now completed. I'll hang on to it a bit tonight working it and check it over again in the daylight hours to make sure I have not missed anything but it looks like its ready to ship home tomorrow as it sits here.

Lock up is spot on and like a bank vault, action is smooth and the detent works as is typical of my frame locks. Final weight is 3.2 ounces with the clip mounted. This south paw folder turned out sweet man. My left hand wants me to tell you if you ever decide to sell this or need to that its sold...to me! :D

Anyway, here are some teasers for you. I had to hurry to squeeze these in before the sun set so excuse the fact that its kind of got my dirty fingerprints on it that may show up in some of these pictures. More pics will be up on my blog probably tomorrow but since MB of space is getting short in supply here on my forum I'm only posting three from tonight.

You can see the baggy of extra parts going home with this folder in a couple of these shots as I forgot to take it out of the field of view. Not that the owner of this folder will ever be able to use them because the blade is reground to a true lefty contact now and the pivot barrel had to be shortened just a bit to make it all squeeze together so it will never go back together as it came on this one. As has been often times requested the stop on this is one of my replacment stop pins set up so all the owner has to do to turn it now and then is stick a phillips head in one side and give it a half turn clockwise.

You may notice on this one so I'll just fill you in just in case. I did these slabs using .110 thickness. Well, turns out from past experimentation that the lock cuts to spring the lock need not be so invasive or huge. This one has a lock cut to thin it in the back on the long cut of the lock but I didn't bring it all the way to the bottom of the folder so it shows but stopped it short leaving the bottom solid. It worked out super just as its done on two other customs I did this way. If you look at the one pic close you can just make out the lock cut down inside there.

Thanks for looking.

I thought so also. It is a sweet heart of a folder that I really took to before it left here. I'm sure the owner of this one loves it.
