I purchased from Sal Glesser at the NY Outdoor show in 1982. Original slab side Mariner. Never used/carried. Some snail trails on the slab scales but blade is pristine. This model came in blue box with foil wrap, which I unfortunately cannot find. "SPYDERCO" and "SEKI Japan" on blade and Pat Pending on clip

I checked with Sal and he confirmed this is an early 80's model. Centered blade and lockback functions well. No issues.

Asking $499 shipped CONUS. I can't find a similar one for sale to establish price. A similar one was listed on eb*y for $599. Let me know if my price is off. No trades.

Original 1002R-SER. Marked "SPYDERCO" and "Seki-Japan". "Patent pending" on clip. Slab sides. Came in blue box with foil. I have the box somewhere but can't find it. Blade was never used. Snail trails on the handle from storage and probably in my pocket no more than a dozen times. Smooth opening & closing & centered. Nice "click" with solid lockback.

I ran this by Sal and he verified it's an early 80's Mariner. I can't find one like it for sale to gauge price. A similar knife was on eBay not long ago for $599. I will sell for $499 or trade for a CRK large Micarta Inkosi.

If my price is off please let me know.
