As light as it is, I was wonder how strong the tolk would be compared to the sebenza and some of the other all Ti midtechs? Why I think it looks and feels great in your hand, it does not seem to me as strong and tough as some of the other midtechs. I am not very rough on my folders anymore, just cutting limbs out of the trail when I walk my blue heeler. Any opinions would be great. I really like the tolk, just wondering. Lol

I have a Tolk and a few Sebenza 21's... imo they are very similar in terms of being "tough and strong" or perhaps you could say how robust they are. The blade stock, the grind, etc. and the thickness of the handles (granted the Tolk is milled inside to reduce weight where the Sebenza isn't). I would also put my Shirogorov's in this category of "robustness".

Now compared to other higher end production/midtechs that I own like Hinderer XM 18, Curtiss F3, Ferrum Forge MB, Hoback KB, etc... the Tolk, Sebenza's, and Shiro's are not nearly as "robust (aka "overbuilt")

I agree with Rexbo, my Tolk seems similar to my Sebenzas, flips like a mother (not quite as nice as my Shiros) and is well built. I'm not a hard user, and in fact, don't really care for "hard" use knives. The one exception being my Hoback KB,which is in my pocket right now, love it.

My Tolk is a quality knife that, while light and thin, has never given me the impression it's any less sturdy than similarly constructed well-made knives. I have a hard time imagining anything you'd do with a folding knife that it couldn't handle.

It's a great knife, my only complaint would be that the totally-functional blade shape is IMO kind of on the ugly side. Something about that hump . . .

I like mine so much that I sent it to Russia for a makeover, including a hump-ectomy.
