Everyone,
The above map is of the area in which the cabin I am renting will be located. The actual address is 1019 Villa Lane, Gatlinburg, TN.
If you look above the Carter pinpoint in the center of the map you will see Villa Lane at the 11 o'clock position. According to MS Streets and Trips this is 19 or so miles from the intersection of Highways 441 and 321, which is pretty much in the middle of the Gatlinburg area, right Shane?
This is about 15 to 20 minutes from Townsend, TN, and maybe 15 minutes from Pigeon Forge.
I was not able to rent the cabin in Townsend since they wanted a two night minimum, so scratch that idea.
At this cabin we have a deck, and two grills. There are other cabins in the area, but this is not like town. It should be pretty quiet.
We will have parking for two vehicles, but we can work around this. I will ferry people if I have to in order to get you Rat Dogs there!
Here is a link to the actual cabin:

Note that there are two bedrooms, and the ad states the place sleeps six. Koty and I have one bedroom. If there is someone else that would like to split the costs of the cabin you are more than welcome to contact me. I already have a couple of people that I have to confirm with, but check with me if interested.
We will have one restroom, and a full kitchen.
Koty and I are planning on arriving between noon and 2 PM Eastern time on Saturday, the 18th. We will have no set schedule until check out time on Sunday, the 19th.
Find a place to stay, and then hang out at the cabin with us until you get ready to leave.
I hope to see everyone there.
Remember: Bring food if you want to cook.
Bring your knives. Be sure and donate one to the host.
There are tens of hotels, cabins, restaurants in the area of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Townsend. Simply do a search on what you are looking for on the 'net. If you can't find what you are looking for let me know.
If you have any questions please post them here for everyone to see.
Your family is more than welcome. Sorry, but pets are not. (I would be bringing mine if they were.) No smoking in the cabin.
Can I get someone attending to commit to conducting a short class on care and maintenance of the convex edge? With and w/o the sand paper/mouse pad trick?
Can I get someone attending to commit to conducting a short class on the use of mechanical sharpening devices?
Can I get someone attending to commit to conducting a short class on the tying of lanyards?
Thanks for your patience. I expect to see you there if you are reading this forum.
