I was looking through the paper today and found this notice posted by the University of Mobile.
Mobile, Ala.- The University of Mobile is calling for entries of original artwork from the seven southern states for the the First University of Mobile Juried Art Exhibition. Artist must be born in or currently live in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, or Texas. The deadline is Feb 28. An entry form is on the University of Mobile website at umobile.edu/art or contact Philip Counselman, Assistant Proff. of Art, at (251)442-2283 or 1-800-win-rams, ext. 2283.The entry fee is $25 for the first work and $5 for each additional entry.
Personally, I think this would a perfect time for some of you exceptionally talented people to whoop out a gorgeous thang, be it knife or hawk, and submit it for viewing and a damn good chance of kicking butt in this art show!!!!!!!
