Southpaws unite!

As a southpaw, I'm most frustrated at the complete lack of lefty frame locks. Besides the Sebenza and the handful of lefty SNGs Strider made (good luck finding one of those), we really have no options - certainly no options around the $200 range.

I really wish Kershaw would add just one lefty frame lock to their ZT line (or do a limited run) but they're probably the least 'lefty friendly' company out there so I'm not holding my breath. Here's hoping a lefty Izula folder gets made in the next year....

You nailed it bro...My same gripe:thumbup:

On a positive note, I can carry my favorite folder strongside AND my Leatherman Wave or Skeletool clipped to my right front pocket.....

Backlocks, Axis, ball bearing/caged ball bearing designs...these are all totally ambi, I think?

Actually, Left Coast Choppers might be kinda cool.

I'm only partly serious, I have run a successful manufacturing business in the past, but I am way too tied up with my day job atm.

Try being left handed for a while... ;)

Ideally, I'd come up with a knife design that was reversible, if it wasn't altogether ambidextrous. That way it would still respect the needs of us lefties, without cutting out 90% of the market (although it would be sweet, sweet revenge to create a left handed knife so awesome, that righties had to buy it anyways and suffer :D).

Grab one of the Spyderco Military LH models before they're gone forever... :)

When I first started carrying a knife, I was basically forced to carry it right handed.
I got used to it rather quickly since, when I eat, I use my right hand for the knife.
Otherwise, I always use my left hand and I would open it right handed and end up switching it to my left hand for longer uses.

I then got my Benchmade 940 and have loved a left handed knife since that day.
As of late, it hasen't really been satisfying my love for knives and recently ordered a Three Sisters Forge TSF Tactical. Basically a 'tacticool' Sebenza. Of course I got it left handed!
He sent me an update picture of where it's at right now. I opted for a pitch black finish for the presentation side.

My two primary EDCs are set up lefty. The others are ambi opening but have a right handed belt clip. I deal with it, but there's a reason I don't carry them as much.

My Benchmade Grip and CS American Lawman are very comfy to use left handed and are easily set up to do so.

It's a right handed world. Hell, I've had to train myself to reach back with my index finger to drop the magazine on my Glock.

I just picked up a Left-Handed Spyderco Military and love it. It's nice to see how convenient a liner lock can be when it's on the correct side!

I also found my Sage 3 and Manix 2 to be lefty-friendly, as well as all my Spydies with a back lock and "leftable" clip.

I have actually been working on something like this for the last four months. Time will tell if the idea ever bears fruit. :D

Start the company. If you have a couple knives in each pricing category you could do well. I used to just buy random (mainly Kershaw) knives, many were liner locks and I just accepted that I'd carry RH, open, switch to LH, use, then switch back to RH to close and put away. Why was I doing that for so many years? I got bit a couple times with those stupid liner locks and also got tired of switching hands every time. Now I use Axis (710, 806, and 13100) and Lockback Demko AD-10, Buck 110, Spyderco. True Ambi locks and carry systems/clips. The PITA are the fixed blades normally coming with a RH sheath, especially customs. I do like Kydex just because it is normally ambi.
