Hey everyone!
This is not a Southwest Boot Dagger, rather it is a Southwest and a Boot dagger.
I made these two recently and I wanted to post them up for you all to see.
The first one has a 10 inch W-2 blade with hamon. The handle is Koa (one of my new favorite woods). The fittings are all stainless steel featuring my first ever engraving. It took me a lot of time to do the engraving but it was very enjoyable and I will be doing much more in the future. The engraving is based off a classic border engraving with a bit of a change to the leaves so they would look a bit different from the traditional. There is engraving on the borders, on the front, back, top and bottom of the guard and on the end of the pommel and nut. I'll let the pictures do the talking from here. Thanks to my brother, Caleb for the awesome photos!

This is a little boot dagger with a 5 3/4 inch blade made of Feather Pattern Damascus. The blade has a very deep hollow grind. The handle is blackwood with an Argentium Silver, domed pin and German Silver, file-worked spacers. Overall length is 9 3/4 inches. The sheath has a Diamondback Rattlesnake skin overlay and tooling. Let me know what you think and thanks so much for looking.

I went to engraving school back in June with Steve Dunn as my teacher. Steve is really good at teaching and making concepts easy to understand. I highly recommend Steve if anyone is looking to go to an engraving class.
