Southwest bowie is the best description for this knife style. It's not the long blade bowie, but thick and strong in the hand. The steel is 1095 with an edge quench that shows a double quench line after a light etch. It's 3/16" thick from the guard to 5/32" at the clip break. Good balance point right behind the guard. That guard and butt cap are really old wrought iron forged to shape. They both show character of the wrought iron. Behind the guard is an osage orange spacer quarter sawn so that the lines flow into the elk antler piece. This comes with a Mexican double loop sheath made to fit a gun rig. It's heavy leather, stamped with some "bling" and made to look like it's been around on a gun belt. Spec's are:
OAL: 10"
Blade: 5 1/2" to ricasso
Width:1 1/2"
Thickness: 3/16" at guard
Price: $425 includes shipping CONUS. PayPal, money order, check.

Rick,

Paypal payment sent. I am really glad I was able to get the first "I'll take it" on that beauty.

Rick,

Got the Southwest Bowie today. Looks better in person and it feels great in hand. Thanks and look forward to seeing more of your knives.

Hey Rick,
Don't know how I missed this one... very nice work! Nice pair of pants for the knife too! I think Dad is pleased with your work!
