Been flooding around here lately. Hope all the forum members that live in SW washington are high and dry. Attached are a few pictures from my jobsite at Centralia College. From what I hear water has gone well above this level. Have heard of depths of 10' in areas around sunbirds shopping center. Just shows you need to be prepared for what nature can throw at you.

You guys are gettin' pounded down there. I'm up here in North Bend and usually it's the Snoqualmie that has the problems. I just saw the Wal-Mart underwater off of I-5 on the news.

Hope things turn around soon Bro.

Good luck Cascadians! I hope Ma doesn't work you over too hard this winter. Man that weather just seems to be gettin weirder an weirder.

My wife works in Centralia and her ambulance station has a foot of water in it. The crews that were on Sun evening have been stranded since this morning. She took the camera to work this morning so she may have some good pics.

I really didn't notice the storm until I heard national news reports on the radio describing "Massive Flooding From British Columbia to Southern Oregon!" I just assumed it was typical media hype until I started hearing specifics.

The gent I'll be hunting with this weekend (shoulder seems much better) in the Centralia/Chehalis area had some pretty scary stories. Apparenly a neighbor of his, a dairy farmer, lost all 300 head of cattle. Others lost everything. He was out fishing propane tanks out of the river that had floated off and gotten tangled up in log jams.

The flooding is far worse then the news media coverage has shown. My wife got home last night emotionaly devastated by what she saw and heard first hand from the people affected.

A friend of ours bought a house in Chehalis eight years ago and she has spent the entire time remodeling it and just finished it this summer. The entire house and foundation is gone. She also had a mini farm with pygmy goats, lambs, calves etc and they are all gone. She can not even tell where the property lines are now.

Almost all of her coworkers live there and all of them have severe damage or total loss of their houses. They are still showing up for thier shifts and are busy helping others right now.

Sorry, I posted a separate thread. I wonder if a moderator can join mine to this.
