SPA done on 1972 Inverted Stamp 120 with swivel sheath?

I found a note that Joe H. wrote that the 'belt loop on the 120 sheath swivels in 1981'. DM
 
TAH, his wording is: "Group 3, 1981. The belt loop on the 120 (sheath) swivels." The word 'sheath' I added as the previous
sentence was about the 120 sheath. DM

Interesting, I would have thought the 119 and 120 would have changed to the swivel sheath at the same time. I purchased a 120 in the late 70s (either '78 or '79 when I was still in high school) with a swivel sheath.

What was the date of the knife though?
 
What I am saying is maybe the knife sat on the shelf for a period of time so it didn't matter when you bought it but when the knife was actually made. Which would explain the sheath...
 
I understand your point, but I'm not questioning the age of the knife. I'm saying that swivel sheaths were around earlier than 1981.
