I had some people that wanted to see this one, and Terrill graciously posted it for me.

This knife is 5/32" ATS-34 heat-treated by Paul Bos, hand-rubbed to 600 grit. Front and rear bolsters of 416 ss (putting the radiused edges on them proved "a little" trying). Black and white spacers between scales/bosters.

And the focal point seems to be the spalted maple burl that was literally useless until Mike at Wood Stabilizing Specialists Intl. did an awesome job stabilizing it

This was the knife handle that I rubbed down with several coats of a tung oil/linseed oil mix, and I think it added some depth to it.

For the life of me I can't remember the length, but I'll check when it returns in the mail.

Thanks

Great looking knife Nick! I like the styled bolsters, well worth the extra effort I think. Terrill does a good job too. This one should be in the judging at Eugene. Bruce B

Very nice, Nick. The extra effort looks like it paid off, those are beautiful bolsters. Thanks to you and Terrill for sharing.

that big cheesy grin is exactly what I'm doing right now! To have the lot of awesome, respected, wonderful makers that just posted kind words about my work...well that just makes a guy feel great!

I have a lot of cussing and kicking to get even close to the point of these fine men's knifemaking skills...but I'm trying one at a time

Thanks guys! I sure do APPRECIATE it!!!
