Spalted oak hunter

here is one i just finnished up it has a 4.75" 1084 blade oal is 9.75" and has a stabilized spalted oak burl handle N/S guard and pins with a handrubbed finish on the blade. let me know what ya'll think........Erik

Nice!!!! Do you know what sub-species of oak that is? As I am a Florida boy, I would eventually like to use some live oak, but I have no idea if you can find it with any kind of wild figure,

thanks for all the positive comments everyone maybe i will try to stick this knifemakeing thing out after all. jdm61 i have no idea what subspecies of oak that this is i got the handle material from alpha knife supply. i believe the way i ordered it was in a whiney voice and said something like "Jessica i need some really pretty wood" and this is what i got.
