Spam - the FOOD

Spam and eggs.

Spam and lettuce and tomato sandwiches.

Fried spam on sourdough roles.

Spam is great stuff for BOB's.

AND...it comes in single use packs now! got them all over my bags! (walmart)

Not too many flavors in this handy, new, little size...but nice to not have to pack out the empty cans.

I like Spam - no worries on long trips and it breaks up the oatmeal/soup/fish I catch routine.

weird, I don't like vienna sausages...but yes to Spam.

Spam is good stuff except for that oven roasted turkey spam which tastes like garbage :barf: also like the fact they come in convenient spam singles packages

spam-kebabs

canned Spam, tuna, and chicken with ramen or yellow rice is my main entree selection(water typically not a problem here in Fla)...instant oatmeal, cocoa, crystal light, boullion cubes, pull tab fruit cup, quart baggie for leftovers (second meal) and some hard candy

What is the actual shelf life on canned spam? Anyone know?
Doc

Long enough for either a hungry person or the in-laws visit  Really I love the stuff and it goes great with miracle whip and tomatoes for a sandwich.

What is the shelf life of a Hormel Foods product in an unopened can?

"The processing techniques utilized by Hormel Foods makes the canned product safe for use indefinitely if the product seal remains intact, unbroken and securely attached to a can that has been well maintained. It is suggested that all canned products be stored in a cool and dry environment to keep the flavor adequately preserved. For maximum flavor it is recommended that the product be used within three years of the manufacturing date. After that period of time, the product is still safe to use however, the flavor gradually declines."

I like spam as long as it's cooked. If I never eat it straight out of the can again it will still be too soon :)

Man, that carrier looks small compared to that cruise ship...
