This is an amazing knife. It is incredibly light weight, like a feather, and that is because I have made it with RWL-34, rapidly solidifying powder technology tool stainless tool steel, which offers the greatest edge strength of any knife steel. It is extremely resistant to breakage at a high hardness, so I can grind it very thin, and still maintain fracture resistance. This steel also takes a very fine polish, demonstrated here. The knife has just enough spine filework for the thumb purchase, and I have tapered the tang very thin, for lighter weight. The handle is pressure stabilized box elder burl, for ultimate strength and water resistance. the pins and lanyard hole liner are 416 stainless steel. the sheath is hand-tooled, deeply cut leafwork, in 9-10 oz. leather shoulder, stitched together with polyester sinew, lacquered and sealed. A serious working tool or investment piece.

Price: $345.00

Thanks for your interest and your compliment. I enjoyed making this knife.
Everyone who's picked this one up is amazed at how light it is and how strong. I wanted to make one without all the bells and whistles, a very thin tang, and an elegant but understated form. The RWL-34 fits the bill splendidly, though it initially rather expensive, and hard to work.
