Spanner nut SOG knives

Hello guys,

A short question about SOG knives. My scuba/demo has a pommel with a spanner nut. Its't not the only model of SOG which has that of course. Do you need a special tool to turn it faster if necessary? What tool would that be then?

Yes, you woudl need a special tool to turn it. I don't know where you can buy one though.

Special tool for sure. I had a nice hunting knife my father bought me when I was a kid that had the same nut as my scuba/demo (at least memory says it did) I always had problems with the nut loosening and the handle rotating. I finally took a standard blade screwdriver and notched out the center of the blade...worked well if I remember right. Wish I had known about loc-tite back then.
