Spanto or slicer grind... Can't decide!

Nonsense, my spantos cut just fine, as do the spantos of many other members.

Lets see a photo of your XM?

No, I'm not one of those people who would just look at a knife and pass judgement on it. I actually use all my knives to whatever task that I need. I've even done some minor comparison tests. Hinderer did design a very beautiful yet robust and functional knife, but compared to a thinner blade. The thinner wins out in terms of cutting ability that's just common sense. Why is it that I can use my Case Trapper to slice an apple and it has no resistance vs XM's thick blade that actually requires a little bit more force and you feel more resistance? You trade off some cutting ability for robustness. You can't disagree with that.

TADA! My one and only Hinderer. XM-18 3.5" Spanto Grind with

I havent tried a Spanto, but the Slicer is quite robust. I cant think of anything a folder would do that a Slicer couldnt handle.

Spanto with slicer sure youll be able to cut a little better which imo isnt that much spanto will still cut same thing a slicer grind will but the spanto has extra strength for prying
