Spare Knives?

I wouldn't call them exact duplicates, because they have different model numbers, but I do have six Griptilians. Otherwise, the only knives I have been inclined to get duplicates of are the BG-42 and S90V Carbon Fiber Millies, the Native and the Volpe. I just love those knives.

When I stumble upon a design I really like, I buy at least two of them. My preference is to have three or more though. I do this with a lot of things.

I have a "collection" of knives, but would not consider myself a knife collector. All my knives that I can't bring myself to use and become safe queens are all expendable to trades or sale eventually. The ones I use are for the most part keepers. I have a BM 690 that is a "World Beater" (lol and it shows it) that I will never part with. Scored a brand new one at a pawn shop and its sitting in the safe all pretty and new-like....it will probably get sold/swapped.:D

If I'm wearing a pair of blue jeans and not mowing the grass there is more the one quality knife on me.

I only have one spare,

I used to have 3 of these Izulas but I gifted 2 away.

It puts my mind at ease that I'm not the only one that does this. Yes, if I really like a knife, a buy a duplicate, or one almost like it, as a spare in case the first gets lost or broken.
