Spare sheaths for the Izula?

Still waiting on my damn knife. Last time for Knife Supply. Was supposed to be here on Wednesday.

Anywho...I am inquiring if it's possible to purchase a spare sheath for the Izula?

The more I lurk and read this particular forum, the more I am finding that there are more folks out there like me. And some much more hut-hut and advanced. But I think we are all die-hard, or quickly becoming that way, fans of RAT Cutlery. And I want one with me 24/7

I have a murse, or Man Purse, if you will. I get a lot of snickers and lots of comments questioning my manhood for using such a "fa_ bag". I explain that it's a piece of gear and quite a valuable and functional item. I carry the Maxpedition Fatboy maybe?? The lefty version in foliage. I am wanting to attach an Izula sheath to it somewhere. The front is taken up with a cell phone pod. But I am sure I can figure something out.

But I am also concerned that I am going to like the knife soo much that I will need it as an accessory to every outfit and scenario. A second sheath would help.

Also, will a boot clip fit an Izula sheath to make a quick, snap inside the waistband retention??

I just recieved an RC-3 and an Izula.

The Izula is so inexpensive that I'd just order a second knife if I wanted a second sheath. Leave the backup knife in the safe and use the two sheaths for whatever, then you have a backup in case you lose your primary.

If I had a man purse (actually I just got a Fatboy Versipack S Type for hiking in the woods, and organizing my first aid and emergency stuff in my car, but I don't wear it around) I'd be carrying a bigger knife than the Izula, which is small enough to stick in a front pocket where it will be with you if you lose your bag. You might catch less heat for the man purse if you get it in a color like Khaki instead of foliage.

Boot clip won't fit the Izula sheath. Spare sheaths ARE available on the RAT Cutlery web site for $15 each. Mike

I'm with RATDrall... I'd get a 2nd Izula(minus the kit if funds are low), but I would keep one in the bag just in case and the user would stay in my pocket.

As far as the man bag goes, I use a OD Maxpedition Sitka as an EDC and I am really liking it so far. Izula in a pocket, RC3MIL on the belt and the RC6 and/or RC5 in the bag:o(ya never know...)

Jesse, aren't fem-bags like nice and shinny and made of leather, silk or satin and look pretty, and like match all outfits and shoes, ahem.... HIPOCRITES, most every guy that I see usually has a book bag or some type of bag that goes over both shoulders, and they only wear it using one strap anyway. Don’t let others shy you away from using your bag, their tune would change if you were there on the spot to help them in their time of need with the stuff you carry in that bag! My wife packs a pretty pink back-pack as a diaper bag for my two y.o. daughter, it’s covered w/ princess girly patches and glitter all over it. It matches my worn out camo fatigues and muddy Timbs & I carry it around where ever I go, who cares what others think!
I carry an Izula around my neck , by 550 cord, and it sits near my flank under my right arm, I just have to reach under my shirt and grab the handle & pull down, ready to go. (Just an idea).

I just picked up a fatboy recently (thanks Don:D) and have been using it quite a bit. It sure beats strapping a ton of crap onto your belt and you can carry alot of stuff you would normally leave at home.

On days when its going to rain and I want a rain jacket or I need a bit more space, I go for a Camelbak Mule mil-spec in foliage. The foliage stuff is great, still blends good in the bush but it's far enough from OD to not look military or tactical.
