Spartan Blades Harsey Folder

Very overbuilt and a nice knife. I have always said if Chris Reeve and Hinderer did a collaboration it would look something like the Harsey Folder.
How does the quality and fit/finish compare to CRKs?

I've been pleasantly impressed with mine.

Certainly not for the faint of heart though, it's not a small knife.

I love mine its real well made and I got it for much less than the 460 which I think is overpriced.287 was a much better price for me....

I just bought the “black” version. It’s really a great knife.

It’s more substantial (heavier built) than my Pallas. I do like the button lock on the Pallas model.

The Harsey is certainly a hard-use knife. I have a hard time comparing it directly to my Sebenza, Inkosi, or Umnumzaan because the designs/feel of the knives seem too different (at least to me).

That said, I can’t see how the Spartan wouldn’t hold up just as well as the CRKs.

Understandably, people are pretty opinionated about the many brands and models in this price range but I don’t see how you can go wrong when you buy a well known brand in this price category.

Based on my satisfaction with my two Spartan folders and fixed blades I’m certain I’ll buy another one in the future.

The Harsay is my favorite of the four.

A bit pricey for my tastes, but I can’t knock what I haven’t tried. $400+ is a lot of cash to drop on a production knife, and would keep me from using it - thus nullifying most of the point of owning one.

There are a lot of S35VN framelocks in the world, and that one doesn’t light my fire enough to separate me from the $525 retail price. It does look pretty nice, though, and people seem to like them when they buy them.

(I know that’s not a terribly useful opinion, but, you didn’t specify user-experience-based opinions.)

The SHF has caught my eye once or twice. The newer versions look great with the detailed handle work. But they're a little pricey. But beautiful.
