I am guessing most all of you are familiar with Spartan Blades Pallas folder. If not here is a great video they posted about them below.

Would you like to see these in other finish combo's such as for example. Black sterile blade with Flat Dark Earth handle.

I would, Black PVD blade with FDE handle would look awesome with a black Button. a Full black out version would be pretty sweet too.

Yep, I think that would be a great combo. Or even FDE handle with the same stonewash blade.

The Spartan Pallas is a great, lightweight, big, button-lock flipper. Great ergos.

Reminds me of ProTech TR-4 Manual and Hogue EX-01 although they have slightly longer blades (4" vs. 3.75"). All share aluminum handles and button lock. Pallas steps it up with better ergos on blade and handle, flipper or thumb stud opening and S35VN over 154CM for the other two. You pay a premium of $100 for that.

As the handles are aluminum the finish used on them has to be anodize. As that is the case are there any other color combo's you would be more interested in?

Just me but, never been a button lock fan. Nice looking though

Having owned a few modern examples with this lock I have had no issues. It does seem like the usage of this type of lock has increased a bit. I believe they have figured out ways to get better lock-up with them and that it allows the brands to offer knives at prices lower than they could if the knife were a frame lock for example.

Battleship Gray! Alternatively, OD Green or FDE.

Is the collaboration with Minuteman already going forward?

We are still in talks on it and also looking at maybe a different scheme to the handle. In fact I am talking with and anodizer and Mark about that idea now. Basically the anodize vendor can do multiple colors etc in anodize but we don't want to make it look like your typical M-Tech for example. Also I don't know if the support is really there for it.

May I humbly suggest Esee or some other fixed blade knife? Seeing some kind of black blade with tan handles and a silver minuteman engraved on the blade would look outstanding. I'd also suggest some kind of cool black and brown lanyard with a round silver bead with a colonial flag wrapped around the circumference. If it could be had for under 200 bucks including a good sheath I think you'd have a real winner. Engrave "Minuteman" into the sheath. Hell, I'd buy one.

We have actually talked to them in the past and we just could not make it work at the time. We've also long thought about a fixed blade at about that price but to date it's not really come together. In fact Southern Grind is the last company we explored that idea with. Also I am just not sure how much support would be there for a fixed blade in theory fewer people would be able to carry them.
