I have recently been offered a good price on one of these. Its a retired model so I am thinking about jumping on it... anyone had any experience owning this knife or handling one? There are no good reviews are even pictures on the net from what I can see. I guess I am just wondering if they "retired" it for a reason?

Spartan Blades retires most of their knives unfortunately. Always moving on to new things. That one won an award at zblade if I remember right, lots of folks liked it. Nothing wrong with it if you like it.
I've handled that knife, never actually bought/used it. Thought it was nice just rarely buy daggers. I have used some of their other knives though, very well made and work great.
