He's not complaining. He's sharing his experience and hoping to get some worthwhile feedback from the community here.

The fact that he posted this lets others, myself included, know about potential issues that they may have been unaware of otherwise.

Flaws happen, what matters is if the maker or retailer are willing to correct that. He should have the issue corrected and then report back here with how it was handled. That would actually be productive and helpful.

I also fail to see where he asked for feedback anywhere in the OP.

While an after action report would be useful, I might want to have such info prior to pushing the buy button if I found that several members here had issues for which they had to send their knives back for refund or warranty work.

In either case, his sharing the info is not out of line...and your characterizing it as complaining is. Let's move on. Or take it to PM.

I think sending it back to the vendor is the right choice.

IMO purchasing retail affords the opportunity for a return should the knife not be up standards—so far as the knife remains unassembled/unscathed.

I’m glad you let us know. It doesn’t sour me to the brand, but a data point is nice.

One thing to try: Clean the mating faces, making sure they are completely clean and dry. Any oil, dirt, etc, will screw up a liner lock/frame lock. I've had numerous examples of assembly oil screwing up a liner lock's lock-up.

Hey C Cowboyfromhell666 , sorry to hear about your experience. I recently picked up a different Spartan Blades knife and it’s instantly a favorite. It compares very favorably with some other high end USA made knives I own from CRK and Hinderer.

Any shop can have QC failures, that’s why QA exists!

Goid luck with your new knife and have confidence in Spartan; they make great knives.

Any update on this?
Unlikely, the op decided to make it a personal mission to inject himself into every Spartan thread and continue to whine about his problem even after he either sold or returned the knife I disremember which. Eventually it got super annoying to the point a mod told him to confine his whining to this thread. He decided to run his yap back at the mod and got himself banned for his troubles. Yippee ki yay...
