Spartan Kranos

Definitely go with the blue. I'd be willing to bet they'll be happy to refresh the anodization for you later if needed. Maybe a small fee, maybe not. It's easy to do.

It's a good looking knife. Hope you like it.

That’s the color I will be ordering. I love the look of that knife. Blue and carbon fiber.

Definitely go with the blue if you like the blue. The color blue they use is really durable and will hold up much better than was let on in this thread. Anodized screws always wear fast on every knife. An anodized screw and the anodized titanium Spartan is using are two totally different things. The Kranos is a stunner and really well built. I would buy with confidence!

Thanks Whitty. That really solidifies the choice to go with the blue and carbon fiber model. The knife sure is a beauty.

These screws didn't hold thier color. I guess because I walk 7-8 miles a day with the added pressure of my mail bag rubbing.

I can see that putting a lot of extra rubbing on the screws. More than the usual person would. USPS? That's a great job. UPS feeder here. The only job I've ever had where they don't care if you fall asleep as long as the trailer gets where it's supposed to on time.

What he said^^
Hey whitty whitty i saw what you guys had done with a couple of your 0452ti models. The USA flag was awesome. Do you guys do aftermarket anodizing?

Well, to make a long story short, I am returning the knife. I just don't think I can ever be happy with this model. I've taken it out of the box and ended up putting it back in the box a dozen times trying to convince myself that I should keep it to no avail. I at least gave it a shot and now won't have to wonder if it would be the right knife for me.

Lol damn @BellaBlades kind of called it. Okay, let’s hear the long version DRLyman DRLyman . Paint is a picture.
There were a few things that made me decide not to keep it.
  • The blue on the knife if tilted the right way looked like there was a brown tint to it in a few places.
  • The carbon fiber that was next to the lock by the pivot had sharp corners.
  • The point of the arrow on the pocket clip was almost what you could call a sharp point.
  • Those last two things created some pretty bad hot spots when gripping the knife.
  • The knife wasn’t as smooth as I thought it would be, both opening and closing.
  • The knife that I received was the dullest knife I’ve ever bought. That’s not an exaggeration.
  • The USA on the backspacer wasn’t centered
And all of these things were on a knife that costs $545. To me, the knife just isn’t worth that price.

Lol damn man sorry. The new Harsey was a little stiff in action when I got it. After a little Breakfree CLP and a few days of incessant opening and closing it falls shut. If you like the look of the Pallas man it is a flawless knife. I mean way smoother than anything I have ever experienced. Or of corse if you’re looking at a non flipper I swear by the Harsey as well.

Very strange. The CF does have a bit of a sharp corner so I can see that being an issue. The ones we have in stock have great looking Ano, flip very smooth and are wicked sharp. The USA on the backspacer of ours appears centered to me but doing laser work myself I know how easy it is to get one slightly off center from time to time. Hope the dealer you got it from will send it back to Spartan. I hate that your experience was not great!

I’ll look into those models. I saw the picture you posted a day or two ago and they looked great.

I hope so, too. Maybe I just got a dud and the knife I received is far from the normal quality they normally produce.
