I hadn't ordered from Admiral Steel in awhile. Those round tubes that were impossible to get open have been replaced by a rectangle tube that is even MORE impossible to open. I believe you could ship a nuclear reactor fuel rod in these things. I finally took it to my band saw...

Yeah, I keep a hack saw handy for all my Admiral deliveries. Bless their hearts. The steel will not be lost in the mail room machinery.

Don't know if you mean it's good, or bad! I'm thinking it's a good thing to receive your order packaged like that. I haven't ordered from them in a while, when I did it was round tube time.

Me thinks you mean Satan? ;) Anything that hard to open couldn't be the seed of something soft and silky like satin :D

... Satan DOES sound a little tougher doesn't it?

Last time I ordered from Admiral I got so P-Oed trying to open the packaging it was the last time I ordered from them... I still have the evil rectangular tube to remind me what karma can do to you.

Mc Master Carr aint no better! A pair of chanel locks and 5 miniutes is usually what it takes...oh, and some cussing :D

Well Dave, you only ordered 18 inches of 1X1/8 1080.Of course they sent it in the packing box for an M1 Abrams 105mm barrel. If you had ordered three 21 foot long pieces of 5160,they would have cut it into 3" pieces, bundled them with duct tape, and put the shipping tag on with a string.
