Speaking of 14" BDC's....

(Hey BB, you might want to check out the reviews of the Lofty Tool over at British Blades. They were not impressed IIRC. Ho Ho Ho and Arrrrg. :D )

Yeah but it sounds to me like the people who weren't impressed with it wouldn't be all that impressed with a khukri either.
Oh well...I have an 18" WWII, a BDC, a Seax and now a Pen Knife and I'm running out of arms! I think I just need a Chiruwa Ang Khola and/or an M43 and I'll ready for anything!

Anyway, Lofty's tool is way down the list, well below a Gransfors axe and maybe a SARO machete.

Definitely an 'and'... I'm still hoping to get one of the extra thick 'old school Sher' AKs somehow.

These threads which start with technical knife related subject matter and then wander are a problem with the new system. I don't know at what point to trim or move. Could you two carry on this witty exchange in the Cantina? I'm not following it anyway. You guys are great, I'm just not catching all of it.

Ackkkkk! Thread hijack!

Gentlebeings, although lots of fun may be had by all, just as much fun can be had without hijacking a discussion that others are interested in even if you aren't. Just start a new thread in the Cantina, such as It was a dark and stormy night and if you do it that way in the first place it'll save the moderators the trouble of splitting threads.

I have a couple of the 10" BDC's and a 14" BDC. I would love to see an 18" BDC. That might be the best of them all! I love the 18" range of khukuri and an 18' BDC would be awesome I do believe. I would definately buy one, for sure. A 15" or 16" Pen knife might get my attention also. The regular Pen knife is a little small for my tastes, as are most of the 12" variety of khuks.Heck, I have a 15" Sirupati that just seems too small to be of much use to me. Weird hugh? 18" to 22" are my favs. When I decide to go down to the 12" or smaller knife, I tend towards more conventional knife designs. Like the bowie.
I do hope we see some of these new variations. It would be fun.
Heck, I am dying to try out one of those new Sher Specials that Munk previewed. That piece seems awesome to me. I wonder if Yangdu needs testers for these new designs? That would be a fun assignment!:D ;)
Where can I sign up. HeHe
