i bought a banjo mandolin from lark in the morning, and recently found that the neck was coming off of the body... wich would require someone who could glue it back on with a stronger glue (and keep it straight).... since i dont have the quipmentment or space to do so its basically a dead instrumet
but i did like the sound when it worked.
i have a cumbus mandolin coming on the way wich im interested in hearing... the cumbus has a much more... reverby sound then the banjo....
i've seen several electric guitar bodies that have banjo heads on them, so i wonder how difficult it would be to mount the head brackets on a hollow body guitar frame without putting to much stress on the top....
I saw Elvis Costello play a few years ago and his keyboardist had a theramin and did extended theramin jams. It was pretty neat - the only live theramin performance I've ever seen.
