I would still stick with the Victorinox Analogue with date and Bezel. It looks good, comfortable and light.
I love Douglas Adams and was thinking that if you head for a flea market, for 50c you could pick up a wrist sundial, that if you use a compass ($10) and a Spirit level ($5) is ok some of the time but very confusing on a homeworld with Bi Polar suns.
Unfortunately if you want something that is automatic and looks neat you are going to have to fork out something scary that says "mug me". If I get 5 years out of a watch I am happy.
