I think the spine and cutting edge should match on a spear point. May just be me but Ilike them to match from the ricasso forward. Also, I like the lanyard hole on top. Looks pretty neat though.

Thanks bro !! All input appreciated !! Didn't really know whAt to call it so called it a spear point it's just a knife to me that feels good in the hand but I really do like them all!!

I'm not sure I love the blade shape for a skinner. Skinner says light and sharp to me. This says heavy duty when I look at it.

An additional tip is to bisect the choil with the plunge, not put the choil completely on the edge.

What you have is a drop point, not spear point. Spear point is much more symmetrical, and the grind line meets the point. A skinner usually has little or no drop to the point. It often has a trailing point ( raised tip). The intention of a skinner is to expose the most cutting edge and have a fairly light weight and easy to use blade.

If I had to give a name to your shape, I would probably call it a "HARPOON HUNTER".

Way to much drop point to make it a skinner. With that much drop point you will cut through the skin with the tip when trying to skin a animal with thin skin . Plus you want a lighter and thinner blade to make a good skinner .
