This is my third knife, stock removal, first 2 were forged.
1084
304SS bolster and pins
Ivory paper micarta handle
5" blade hollow grind 10" wheel
4 1/4 handle

I've wondered this for a while... How do you get curved plunge lines?
Run your belt off the edge of your platen / wheel. Lead into the plunge softly and they will "sweep".

Nice symmetry! Really like it!

Sweany I don't know where you get all those cool pics, but they're always spot on.

That's a fantastic knife! Your symmetry is perfect and you took on some challenges some of us never would. I really like the pins too. What a great knife! Gold star day. ;) :thumbup:
 
Wow ... Thank you all, I never expected such a response, I almost didn't finish it because of the wavy plunge, i keep thinking I can grind the perfect blade Ha HA, realized i better start putting handles on.

Mike , Thanks for asking about the plunge, And Erik thanks for your answer, I was using the hard edge and it wasn't working.

Sweany and Dave, I woke up to your posts ,:D

You've all really made me want to start another.
