Generally I think of a fighter as large knife with a cross guard and when I created this knife I was just thinking of making a spear point user blade. Somewhere during the perspiration this blade emerged and when I look at it I think fighter. The steel is 1/4" thick 1095 and heat treated with clay to produce a nice Hamon with an edge hardness of around 59 Rc. Contrasting blade finish is achieved with a tough black oxide on the flats and a light steely gray on the bevels also the spine is accented with file work. For a handle black spacers and highly figured Koa wood scales were selected, attached to the knifes full tang with epoxy and loveless bolts and finished off with Tung Oil. The pictured brown 8-9 ounce leather sheath was made just for this knife.

Specs:
Steel is 1/4" thick 1095 with clay heat treated Hamon

Overall Length: 10.5
Handle: Koa wood scales with black spacers
Brown Leather Sheath.

Thanks ghale, Some times I look at knife and wonder why I put this on that but I agree the Koa compliment the blade. Kelley

If I was not "custom poor" right now I would buy this beautiful blade Kelly. Great job once again.
