Does anyone know if HI makes spears or more specifically, spear heads?

really intrested in getting one if its possible.

Anyone know if it could be sent to Australia? possible it may be catagorised as a bayonet :/

Cheers.

The closest I've seen is the HI Survival Knife, which could be rigged as a spear:

I have a Bushman, it attaches to the end of my walking stick like they were made for each other. My walking stick is an Ames Rake/Hoe handle with a metal cap on the end. The Bushman slides right over the steel thingy and holds okay with a friction fit. One of these days I'll drill a hole in the Walking stick so that I can use a Bolt to keep things together better for real use.

I mentioned all this since the HI Survival knife is based off the Bushman. If you can get you hands one one, and a handle that fits, you'd have an HI spear. :)

Yep:) I would use my HISK as a spear, if it wasn't such a doggone good knife in the kitchen;)

I picked this up for $5 in an antique store in Eastern Washington yesterday. It's labeled "Fish Spear." Handforged, roughly ground. Probably no heat treat to speak of.

It has a good heft, enough for chopping. Hollow bushman type handle, but much thicker.

More spears should be made in general, by knife makers. I want a forged hori hori styled socket handled HI spear. Too bad it doesn't exist.

Then again, I can't even find the HI survival knife on the website.

The HI website is missing a LOT of stuff. The simple reason being that HI makes a basic stock of standard line up of khuks and a lot of the wild, weird, and woolly stuff come in on a case by case basis through designs presented here, custom orders, or things that the kamis just make up off the top of their heads.

The difference between a modern manufacturer that can deliver to spec within a thousandth of an inch, and a magical little incense filled shop that can come up with the unique one-of-a-kind item that is just what YOU need.

+1 on the boar spear. I'd love to have a good HI made boar spear. I want to spear hunt feral hogs. I'll use my 20 gauge Pedersoli Howdah pistol as a backup to the spear.
