Spec Bump vs Paramilitary

how about. . . a Rat Trap?
Kudos on that. I'd get the rat trap over either one.

I've never been a fan of the long handle/short blade style of the para. The spec bump seems pretty intriguing, that sems like a pretty cool knife. I like the 3-D handle treatment & texturing on the spec's G-10. Probably won't be able to tell the difference in the steels between the 2 (CPM-154 vs CPM-S30V on the para).

The long handle is the reason I chose it over so many other knives. My hands are just a little too big for most 3 inch EDCs, like my d2 minigrip and M16 11K. My pinky is always just about to slide off. Speaking of which, I intend on doing a three way comparison between those knives, since they're such radically different takes on feasable EDCs.

I just received my Spec Bump today and my first impression is very good. I was pleasently suprised that the blade did not have the limited edition billboard on it. The manufacture date on the blade is Sep 05 so I guess they have produced more than 500. Yes, the lock takes getting used to, and only time will tell if the lock spring will hold up, but overall this is a quality piece. The handle feels great in the hand, the opening is the smoothest of any of the Onions I have handled and there is plenty of snap to it.
