I contacted Spec Ops about building a 10" or so sheath. They said they were very interested in adding it to the lineup. They want to have one that fits a wide variety just like the others they build. I have been instructed by Wes the design guy to gauge interest as to what length and what knives that we would want to fit. I personally would like to fit my basic 11, BWM and dogfather. I think 1 would fit those all nicely and possibly the CGFBM.

What do you guys think?

Zach

Maybe, but remember the Basic 11's blade is a lot more narrow than the BWM and Definitely the CGFBM....

The Fusion Battle Mistresses have very wide blades, usually right at 2" wide.

A steelheart and a Mistress sheath would be great. I've got a large spec-ops sheath i modded for a Nmsfno. I took the kydex liner out and heated it up until it fit said knife. But it was'nt wide enough to fit the Fsh. So yeah that would be great if they made them wider and 8" to 10" long.

That looks pretty good. I can't see a Spec-Ops sheath being all that much cheaper.

A almost got one for my CGBWM, but Mashed Cat Eric's new (at the time) dangle won me over (BTW-great guy & products!). Also, I heard the ESEE (old RAT Cutlery) boys were working on a big sheath 10"+ that will be more modular. However I'm not sure if it will be specific to their Junglas, or a generic style that will fit a multitude of knives.

Just food for thought:thumbup:

EDIT: I'd be in for a group buy on that one too.

If you narrow it to the B-11 I'd be in.

At Blade, I spoke with the folks from Lost Mountain and checked out their sheath -- it is SWEET!!!:thumbup: I really liked the double pouch setup, and it was VERY well made. You can't go wrong with their sheath, and the one they showed us fit "Doc's" Bushwhacker Mistress beautifully.;)

Is the double pouch standard now? On the website the lower pouch was an option, and the standard was set of elastic bands and web/buckles for multi tools or flashlights. So just be sure you know what you're getting when you order.

Also, I forgot to mention that the ESEE guys spoke well of Iron Mountain:thumbup:

Spec ops has great stuff and I would be in for one in black to fit my CGDF!!

Man PIECE OF CAKE!!! I'm in for sure. All they need to do is make one to fit say 2.0625" X 10.5" and anyone can apply heat and make it fit a slimmer blade. I made one of theres fit a SJTAC-ETS like a glove, even used my dremel to shape the kydex like the grip plates on the SJ. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!! About freaken time.....

Ok, I'm sorry, it would appear that I may have stepped on the OP's thread, and now people may be responding to both potential sheath choices. :o

I had not heard of that LostmountainIronworks brand. That stuff looks great. Very similar. So a Spec Ops sheath that fits fits B11, BWM and Dogfather would probably go over. I am sure some other brands that are similar size would fit. The sheath I had for the NMSFNO i just sold had a kydex insert. I am sure the user could form this to fit a little tighter or looser to suit the knife they need. I really like these cordura/kydex sheaths for the bigger knives. Having the little pouches are really nice. If I could put a double stuff and a few other things in with my B11 I would be set for anything. I will keep this thread revived for awhile and try and get a head count. I think Spec Ops is really interested and has been wanting to make a bigger sheath regardless. But if we can get one to fit our stuff even better.
Thanks for the interest,
Zach

Love that LMIW Foot Long. Spec-Ops would be nice as well.

BTW, I have been succesful in fitting an HHFSH in the large Spec-Ops Survival sheath multiple times. Pretty long work, but doable.
