Spec Ops sheath and the RC6

To anyone who owns both the RC6 and the Spec-Ops short Combat Master sheath...how's the fit?
 
The short sheath works fine.

How did you guys form fit the insert? I have a long Spec ops sheath and the RC 6 rattles a bit. I know the insert is thermo plastic, so I was going to try and dunk it in hot water and then press it onto the knife. I dont know how long to dunk it though, or what temp to dunk it in.

I put mine in a pan of hot water and squeezed it so it would grip the blade.
 
My sheath is actually the discontinued Navigator model, but is almost the same sheath as the Combat Master. It works and it's on sale.
 
Thanks again Horn Dog!!!! Was pleasantly surprised to find that the pouch holds an altoid tin perfectly.

That answered my question. I was having trouble trying to figure out what size to get but looks like the short sheath will fit just fine. Cool! Hey horn dog if you don't mind me asking where did you find yours at? Been trying to shop around for a good deal.
