Special Agent Jack Bauer, CTU

I've been playing 24 the game on PS2. It's very good. IT has shooting, stealth, driving, hacking, etc. A good enough variety to keep you from getting tired of it. You play as mainly Jack, Tony, and Chase but you also play as a few other CTU people (usually for 1 or 2 short levels) and several minor characters for usually single tasks (Ex. bomb squad guy to defuse bomb in hour 1). Animation and sound/voices are very good. No knives so far. I suspect they haven't used the knife because video games are rated higher than TV/Movies with the same violence. Although they already had a Mature rating so it was also probably because they didn't want to code an extra weapon.

24 the Game - Rated M for Mature - Blood, Violence
I think the rating is actually somewhere between T and M. It's not bloody, I've actually only seen 1 spot of blood in the entire game so far. I think it's a little too violent for a Teen rating but not as violent as most Mature games. Also contains some language comparable to the TV series and some mentions to drug use and a character going through drug withdrawal. The more intense plot line is probably why it has the Mature rating.

In the seasons where Kiefer Sutherland becomes executive producer, the show becomes markedly more realistic, maybe not in storyline but definately gunwise. The gun sounds are more realistic etc. I wonder why that is considering his dad is super duper anti gun.

They need a good technical advisor on the set for the gun handing scenes. Keeping your finger on the trigger while charging the pistol would get you kicked out of my local gun club. This is basic, yet something Bauer repeatedly does. I know...it's TV!

Great show! Haven't missed an episode.
Just try to remember that 24 is simply an action soap-oprea. Nothing more, nothing less. Don't get to hung up on realism.

And Jack has used a knife more in the first 10 episodes of this season then all the other seasons combined. :D

Anyone in your gun club ever been in a shootout with terrorsists? Cut the man some slack he has saved the US many many times, well on TV that is :D I have seen his knife come out for many more things this season it seems. He doesn't need a knife when there are things like syringes, lamps, wires, baseball bats and the like laying around geesh be creative! Awesome JACK BAUER facts:

If everyone on "24" followed Jack Bauer's instructions, it would be called "12".

Upon hearing that he was played by Kiefer Sutherland, Jack Bauer killed Sutherland. Jack Bauer gets played by no man.

Jack Bauer's calendar goes from March 31st to April 2nd. No one fools Jack Bauer.

If you wake up in the morning, it's because Jack Bauer spared your life.

When life gave Jack Bauer lemons, he used them to kill terrorists. Jack Bauer $&%*ing hates lemonade.

There is the right way, the wrong way, and the Jack Bauer way. It's basically the right way but faster and more deaths.

The show is mindless drivel IMO, as 99.9% of TV is. I also hate the way keifer sutherland lowtalks the whole time. Speak up moron!

I've seen more knife content on the National Geographic channel.
Hear hear!

It's gotten very repetitive, but the first few seasons were gold, and had a lot of knifey delight.
Pretty much guaranteed that:
CTU will have a mole. CTU will be attacked. Jack will break rules, get hauled in, and exonerated. CTU chief will be replaced. Torture will work. Someone will have to decide whether to sacrifice the few for the many. Important witness/suspect will die. Someone will make a sentence out of the following words to make the impossible happen:
node, server, socket, upload, jam, synchronize, hack, stream, etc :)
But the show can be a lot of fun. This season started with a bang but has descended into stuff we've seen before. It will probably pick up, they've been consistent in upping the bar for suspense at least.

Question contain spoiler:

In the current season, 5-6 pm, did anyone see the auto folder that he used to open the backyard gate lift to get into Henderson's house? It's not the Helo 3 that he usually carries.

You left out my personal fave: "protocol" :D

Makes for a great drinking game: everytime someone uses the word "protocol", you have to take a drink. It's reeeeeal hard to make it through an episode!

Update: There is 1 knife in 24 the Game. I won't say who uses it but it's not Jack. Looked like a made up fixed blade one of the animators though would look cool.
