Special deal on 20 inch Sirupati by mystery kamis.

Sure, Jim. I understand completely.
Of course you're only going to get one.
Why, that's the norm around these parts, don't you know.

Oh, and I have this little bridge in Brooklyn I'd like you to have a look at, and some waterfront property in Arizona just plum for the taking......

JIM

Why five and counting? Good question, I guess I need to order more.

As for now, the BAS rides shotgun in my gov't vehicle. Never know when someone is going to drive into a canal and/or need a window broken out. Though the shortest of my khuks, it still impresses those who see it unsheathed for the first time. Worth the price of the khukuri just for that alone.

The WWII, Gelbu Special and Ganga Ram Special pull guard duty in various rooms along with the 18.5" Kumar Kobra. Each one has its own special magic and appeal.

The one that fits my hand best is the WWII, but I'd not want to part with any of them.

You'll know why soon enough.

Uncle Bill,

I thought about it, and would probably do so under other circumstances, but it doesn't lend itself to the logistics of this trip.

Two up packing on a motorcycle is difficult enough for a two week period. (We've done it for three weeks in the past.) I will have my trusty Glock, a neck knife and a folder however.

Plus, as an added bonus, I'll be visiting with good friend and respected knifemaker Rob Simonich in Montana where he will make another of his knives for me while there. A nice piece in Talonite to join the one I'll be carrying around my neck on the way there.

One of the 12" Sirupatis would be just the thing in the saddlebag or tankbag I would think under other circumstances. (Guess you'll need to work on getting one of those for me Uncle Bill.

Only one ( of each ) is all I ask, God. But I do reserve the right to chance my mind.

And Blues, the 12" sirupatis come with different attitudes. Some have the spirit of an old favorite hunting knive, others are more evil than the fairbairn-sykes.

Rusty,

You have sold me on the merits of that model.

I'd like one that melded the best qualities of the two you mentioned, with a bit more emphasis on the latter.

Thanks, Uncle. I'll look forward to your letting me know of its arrival.

As for the storms and hail....been there, done that! Have the soiled shorts to prove it.

Thanks for the good wishes.

I ordered the knife on Friday and when i get home from work on Monday a new toy is waiting for me. Bill, i dont know ur grading system for blems but this knife doesnt look like one to me. I had to check the forums again to find out what was wrong with it. HARDLY NOTICEABLE!
When HOOLIGAN gets his blem from you we allready have the perfect test for your knives... A business friend of ours raises EMU's (kinda like an ostridge) to havest the meat, feathers, and oil... and she needs a couple of guys who are willing to help with the humane slaughter of these animals.
A perfect test for a couple of Sirupati's... and when i found out the slaughter includes beheadings,i had a full body shiver. HOOLIGAN and i will of course post the results of our "test". thanks again Bill..
